1. Information we collect

• Your email address at sign-up (for authentication and contacting you)
• Display name (a handle is fine), creature avatar, and time in Cairns
• Your posts (articles, visit notes, comments) and check-ins (a record of places you’ve been)
• Access logs to the extent needed to run the Service

2. How we use it

• To provide and display the Service
• Identity checks and moderation (anti-troll, anti-impersonation)
• Keeping the community healthy (we do not cross-track any individual’s movements)

3. Sending data to third parties

• Translation: post text is sent to Cloudflare (Workers AI) for Japanese/English translation.
• Infrastructure: the Service uses Cloudflare (hosting) and Supabase (database & authentication). Collected information is stored on these platforms.

4. Ads & tracking

The Service carries no ads and does no third-party advertising tracking.

5. Audio (future)

If we handle audio (e.g. pronunciation) in future, voice is biometric information, so we will obtain separate, explicit consent — setting out the purpose, who can see it, and how to withdraw — apart from posting consent. We do not collect audio at this time.

6. Retention & deletion

• You can delete your account yourself from your profile page.
• Your posts (articles, visit notes, comments) generally remain after you leave, as a community record. However, if you want a specific post removed, contact us and we’ll handle it.
